On October 16, 2008, USCIS published the final rule increasing the Trade-NAFTA (TN) Professional Workers admission period for Canadians and Mexicans from one year to three years.
Pursuant to North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), the TN nonimmigrant visa category is available to Mexican and Canadian citizens with bachelor's degrees or designated professional credentials to work in specific occupations. Please see the USCIS press release for more information:
